Gordy Lindell
President
As Anvil’s President, Gordy is responsible for leading Anvil to help our clients engineer the
future of energy. Gordy and the management team focus on building and enhancing relationships
with all clients we serve throughout each of our local markets. He works with senior
management to identify annual strategic goals and targets and then monitors progress towards
meeting those goals.
Gordy joined Anvil in 2003 and has served as Anvil’s President since 2014. He has extensive
experience in business and project management for oil refinery, oil production, co-generation,
and pulp and paper facilities. Gordy has led Anvil’s growth into new regions and sectors,
including forming Redi Anvil in Lakewood, CO to further expand our upstream and midstream
capabilities.
Gordy holds a B.S. in Construction Management from Louisiana State University.
Dan Lewis
Chief Financial Officer
As CFO, Dan is responsible for all of Anvil’s reporting, accounting, planning, financial analysis, treasury, and human resource services. He also managers the Accounting and Business Services groups and ensures that our employees understand the financial, retirement, and medical benefits available to them through Anvil.
Dan joined Anvil in 2008 as Controller where he oversaw accounts and reporting systems, prepared forecasts and budgets, and ensured client contracts were set up correctly and terms were followed. He was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2020.
He brings over 20 years of corporate accounting experience, primarily for engineering companies. Dan has successfully led initiatives to improve company billing processes, implement new accounting software, develop billing strategies, and select and implement employee benefit plans.
Dan holds a B.S. in Accounting from Central Washington University.
Mark Quenneville
Chief Digital Officer
As Chief Digital Officer, Mark leads Anvil’s Digital Transformation.
Mark brings over twenty years of experience developing technological solutions for the energy, aerospace, oceaneering, and healthcare IT fields. Before joining Anvil in 2019, he held leadership roles in engineering and technology, including Executive Director & CEO of Medical Information Network, VP of Technology for Fugro Seafloor Surveys, Principal Research Engineer for Vulcan Inc, and Program Management at Microsoft.
Ross Warne
Manager of Engineering
As Manager of Engineering, Ross oversees the technical aspects and accuracy of our discipline engineering services. In this role he also serves as Anvil’s Project Services Quality Manager, responsible for overseeing the quality of our deliverables. He establishes annual goals and metrics and works with all disciplines to ensure we continue to meet our clients’ expectations and our own standards of quality and consistency.
Ross joined Anvil in 1997 as a Mechanical Engineer, completing detailed discipline engineering for several of our primary clients. Ross then served as a Discipline lead, managing the mechanical work for several of Anvil’s largest projects. He joined the Project Management Group in 2009 and managed our Anchorage office from 2010–2011. Upon his return to Bellingham, Ross served as the Mechanical Resource Manager and then Manager of Resources until becoming Manager of Engineering in 2016.
Ross brings over 30 years of mechanical engineering, construction management, and mechanical design experience in the petrochemical industry. He’s also worked in the Pulp and Paper industry and started out in the trades as a machinist working in heavy oil research and development.
Ross holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary. He has a Journeyman Machinist Red Seal certification from the Province of Alberta and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of British Columbia.
Derek Toffer
Business Development & Marketing Manager
As Anvil’s Business Development & Marketing Manager, Derek is responsible for growing Anvil’s client engagement and external relationships. He is an internal advocate for Anvil clients and helps identify solutions that Redi Anvil is uniquely positioned to deliver on.
Derek brings over 27 years of experience in account management, sales, and business development for the energy industry. Before joining Anvil in 2018, he held senior business development and international management roles with Fluor.
Derek is a control systems engineer and holds a B.S. in Computer Science from California State University.
Werner Plagge
Manager of Resources
As Manager of Resources, Werner oversees our engineering resource disciplines, ensuring that we have the appropriate discipline staff available to manage, support, and successfully execute our projects. Before that he served as Doyon Anvil’s President and General Manager in Anchorage and worked closely with senior management from Doyon, Limited and Anvil Corporation to develop the joint venture and lead the company’s management team.
Werner joined Anvil in 1993 as a Control Systems engineer, eventually managing the Control Systems/Electrical Department until moving to Alaska to lead Doyon Anvil. He brings extensive project management experience in the oil and gas industry, including North Slope projects.
Werner holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University.
Eric Peterson
Safety Manager
As Safety Manager, Eric is responsible for managing and coordinating Corporate Safety in all Anvil subsidiaries and branches, ensuring Anvil meets Client Safety standards. He maintains current knowledge of federal, state, local, and client safety laws, regulations, and policies. Eric advises Anvil managers and employees on changes to safety regulations or policies, maintains the Anvil Safety Manual, conducts safety training, performs safety audits, and identifies and implements any actions necessary to ensure compliance with established safety and health procedures.
Eric joined Anvil in 2009 as Safety Representative where he assisted the Safety Manager before taking over as Safety Manager in 2010.
He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and holds a B.S. in Safety and Health Management from Central Washington University.
Terry Caetano
Doyon Anvil President & General Manager
As Doyon Anvil’s President and General Manager, Terry is responsible for leading the company’s management team. He works closely with senior management from Doyon, Limited and Anvil Corporation to identify company strategies, goals, and targets and then monitors the progress towards meeting those goals. He reports to Doyon Anvil’s Board of Directors.
Before moving to Alaska, Terry was a project manager and managed projects in Alaska, Canada, California, and Washington State. Prior to this he was Anvil’s Metallurgical Lab Department Manager. In 2006 he developed the Quality Management Services group and managed it until his assignment and relocation to Alaska. He joined Anvil in 2000.
Terry holds an M.S. in Physical Metallurgical Engineering and a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Montana Tech of the University of Montana.
Craig Wilson
Bellingham Branch Manager
As Bellingham’s Branch Manager, Craig is responsible for the business and operations performance of the branch. He works closely with Anvil’s senior management to set branch strategies, goals and targets, and collaborates with Business Development, Program, Project, and Resource Managers to successfully execute the plans. He also promotes strong Redi Anvil relationships with clients and the local community.
Craig joined Anvil in 2008 as a project manager, eventually taking over as Manager of the Project Management Department before becoming Branch Manager in 2020. He brings extensive experience in personnel, site, operations, and project management at multiple facilities and locations.
Craig holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta and a Certificate in Business Administration from the University of California.
Cody Steinmetz
Billings/Denver Branch Manager
As Anvil’s Billings/Denver Branch Manager, Cody is responsible for overseeing all office activities and project execution. He works closely with Anvil’s senior management to identify company strategies, goals, and targets and then monitors progress towards meeting those goals. Before taking over the Branch Manager position in 2017, Cody worked in Anvil’s Billings office as a Project Leader and Project Manager.
Cody brings over 18 years of engineering and management experience working in the Oil & Gas, Industrial, and Manufacturing industries. Before joining Anvil as a Project Leader, Cody spent 14 years working for Cargill Incorporated in various roles, including Refinery Supervisor, Plant Engineer/Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance & Engineering Manager, and Business Unit Reliability Leader.
Cody holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University.
Len Orona
Concord Branch Manager
As Anvil’s Concord Branch Manager, Len is responsible for all office activities and project execution. He works closely with Anvil’s senior management to identify company strategies, goals, and targets and then monitor the progress towards meeting those goals.
Len brings over 38 years of overall industry experience, including working for C.F. Braun, Fluor, and Worley-Parsons. Before joining Anvil in 2019, Len worked as a Sr. Project Manager for CVX and General Manager for Mustang Engineering.
Len holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from East Los Angeles College.
Ken Swalley
Lakewood (Redi Anvil) Branch Manager
As Redi Anvil’s Branch Manager, Ken is responsible for leading the management team. He works closely with Anvil’s senior management to identify company strategies, goals, and targets and then monitors the progress towards meeting those goals. He reports to Anvil’s Board of Directors.
Ken brings over 20 years of engineering and management experience in the Oil and Gas industry. Before moving to Denver, Ken was Anvil’s Control Systems Engineering Manager in Bellingham, WA.
Ken holds an M.B.A. from Keller Graduate School of Management and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Idaho.
