Anvil COVID-19 Update: Anvil Virtual Operations

As a follow-up to my March 18, 2020 message, I want to update you on Anvil’s transition to remote execution. To ensure the safety and well-being of all Anvil employees and our community, we are accelerating our push to becoming a virtual engineering company.

As a follow-up to my March 18, 2020 message, I want to update you on Anvil’s transition to remote execution. To ensure the safety and well-being of all Anvil employees and our community, we are accelerating our push to becoming a virtual engineering company.

As of Monday, March 23rd Virtual Anvil is operational.

For years now, Anvil has shared work and projects among our branches. As a result, we have developed a robust set of tools, software, and work practices to allow the company to shift project work between remote offices and balance our resources. When one office has excess work, we realign our resources from other offices to maintain balance. We have now expanded our tools, work practices, and teleworking arrangements to allow all employees to work remotely if needed.

In so many ways, virtual Anvil will be very similar to our current operations. We have already worked together with many of our clients on SharePoint, Microsoft TEAMS, and other collaboration tools. We intend to continue to execute work, hold project meetings, give status reports, and otherwise continue with our project commitments on an uninterrupted basis.

We realize that during this disruption clients may have unique needs or questions they need answered quickly. Please reach out to us as we continue to be here and ready to support any client needs.

Anvil is here as we have always been, and I know that working together there is no problem we cannot overcome together.

Stay safe and healthy,

John Mahoney, Anvil President

Anvil COVID-19 Response: A Message from President John Mahoney

In light of these unprecedented times, I wanted to share the actions Anvil is taking to secure the health and safety of our workforce, while continuing to provide ongoing services to our clients.

In light of these unprecedented times, I wanted to share the actions Anvil is taking to secure the health and safety of our workforce, while continuing to provide ongoing services to our clients.

Anvil operates from five geographically distinct regional offices: Anchorage, Bellingham, Billings, Concord, and Denver. While the pandemic affects us all, we expect the impacts to vary by location, so we will be able to share work and support clients and projects from multiple locations, leveraging our current resources and tools.

Anvil is a leader in using technology and for years our employees have been able to work remotely. We have expanded our teleworking arrangements to allow a larger number of our employees to work remotely, most likely from their homes. We are providing all the hardware and software needed to do this. Along with our robust and secure network, this past year we started using Microsoft TEAMS as a collaboration platform, which will further enable us to remain productive for our clients. These recent improvements make us ready for the challenges ahead.

We are all in this together. Anvil remains committed to supporting our clients in all locations from any location.
